Mina T. Nguyen Former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Business Affairs and Public Liaison
Mina T. Nguyen is currently an MBA candidate at the Harvard Business School. While at Harvard, Nguyen advised the consulting firm Accenture and served in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley. Prior to Harvard, she was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Business Affairs. In this previous capacity, she served as the principal adviser to Secretary Paulson on public-private sector initiatives. She managed the Department’s consultations with industry and integrated these perspectives in the Department’s policy priorities including the US-China Strategic Economic Dialogue, Capital Markets Competitiveness and issues surrounding financial markets and private pools of capital. Nguyen has held several leadership positions in government and politics including: Director of Government Affairs for the Republican National Committee, the National Business Director for the Bush-Cheney campaign, and Director of Public Liaison and Special Assistant to U.S. Labor Secretary Elaine Chao. From 1998-2001, Nguyen was a Management Consultant in Accenture’s Strategy practice, where she helped develop merger and acquisition and market development strategies for Fortune 100 companies in the hi-tech and financial services industries. She has been published in several publications including the Harvard International Review as well as the Asian American Policy Review. She currently serves on the board of the World Health Ambassadors, a non-profit organization that leads international medical missions. Nguyen received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of California Berkeley’s Walter A. Haas School of Business.
